There is a lot more to Building Information Modelling than creating a 3D model. BIM governs the way information is shared between the design team, aids project management and workflow and aims to minimise site issues that could have been foreseen in the design phase through clash detection. Information from the Building Model can be used for material quantities and take-offs during the construction phase, plus installed equipment information can be obtained during the lifetime of the building. Martin Design Associates have gained invaluable experience on numerous BIM projects, in recent years capitalising on our investment in the Revit Software Suite. We have completed various BIM projects including two multimillion pound large school projects in the London region.
